Si vous recevez ce type de demande, n'y donnez pas suite. C'est une arnaque qui vise à vous escroquer en vous versant un faux chèque certifié d'un montant plus élevé que le loyer et en vous demandant de rembourser la difference : à vos hôtes à l'étape du 3 ième email mais j'imagine la suite: une annulation avec demande de lui rembourser le trop perçu bien avant que votre banque vous informe que le chèque encaissé était finalement un faux et vous le retire de votre compte !

Ci dessous les 3 premiers mails echangés avant de constater l'arnaque.

Nota: Sur TopRural, 2 autres propriétaires ont deja reçu les mêmes email !

I received your email with thanks. Please be inform that my four childrens will be arriving your place on 10th- 30th of Nov 2006. Please kindly calculate the the total cost of their stay for 20 days and get back to me as soon as possible so that we can discuss on payment arrangement.

3 ième email: C'est là que l'arnaque saute aux yeux !

Hi,
Thanks for your email response.Please note that I am very glad to hear that you have availibilty at the desired dates. Meanwhile I want you to understand that my four children will be coming for the holidays. Note below the Names and ages of my children:

1:Name: Mark Jones ....age -------- 19
2:Name:Florence Jones .....age-----21
3:Name: George Jones ...age------24
4:Name: Jerald Jones.....age.........26

However, be inform that I want to send you the payment so that the accomodation can be reserve for them. Note that I have accepted the price of Euro 700,00 as payment for there total stay in your place. I want you to understand that I will be adding more Euro 4,800 to that price because I will like you to please receive the money before they will arrive, so that you can give it to them in cash as soon as they arrive your place to enable them can use the money for any expenses they need to make.

Note that I will be sending you a certified bank Cheque in the amount of Euro 5,500,00 and you are required to receive the payment and take the cost of your accomodation Euro 700,00 and then hold the balance of Euro 4,800 that you will give to them in cash as soon as they arrive your place.
Please kindly confirm this and respond back to me with your informations so that a certified bank Cheque can be made out in your name and be send to you without any delay.
